Open to each other
We are currently reviewing the system of pastoral care we use at EHD. We want to offer better support to one another and to involve more people in this important aspect of our life together. We hope to have some news on this in the New Year.
Could you help with babysitting for church families ( we have plenty of families with young children)? If so we would like to develop a list of babysitters who could help other members to attend events in the knowledge that their child(ren) are being
looked after.
Open to the wider community
Next year is a big one for Liverpool and local churches intend to take part with a month each to hold one or more open events. EHD have volunteered to hold an event in March. We hope to offer a community party , as we did in our centenary year, 2004, during the middle of March.
This will be an opportunity for many of us to help with planning, publicity and staffing different parts of the party. More news of this in January.
Our Open Church Monday lunchtimes continue to be highly valued by the
very small number of local residents who have dropped in to pray or for a chat. Let
your neighbours know we are open from 12.30pm-
